Police reports have documented a recurring problem at the crossing where traffic can get backed up onto the tracks. Drivers have gotten stuck in between the closing crossing gates when a train is coming.

We have outgrown many of the roads, bridges, and train crossings that were built decades ago when there were fewer people in the state. Modernizing our infrastructure is a safety issue, not a political one.
