“We have one of the oldest transportation infrastructures in the nation and old infrastructure requires more extensive work to maintain,” he said. “New Jersey has one of the highest heavy truck volumes in the nation. Heavy trucks cause an inordinate amount of wear to our transportation infrastructure.”
