ELEC825 has developed programing to address the bidding gaps for daily crane and concrete pump rental contractors. These markets continue to be an important source of work for Operating Engineers. ELEC’s Market Recovery Grant (MRP) is now specially designed to help crane and concrete pump rental contractors respond bid requests – immediately.

PREAPPROVAL IS THE KEY

Once a contractor is pre-approved, quoting and bidding are quick because the subsidy amounts are already predetermined.

The program can be used to expand business in new market segments, such as cell towers, modular homes, HVAC placement, and concrete pumping. Grant amounts vary based on the size, type of equipment and other factors relating to the market segment. 

PUBLIC/PREVAILING WAGE PROJECTS

The rental program can be utilized for projects subject to Prevailing Wage laws, however, subsidies may not be used to pay wages or benefits for construction work. MRP subsidies may only be used to cover ancillary costs such as travel for an operating engineer to deliver a crane to a jobsite. 

GET PREAPPROVED AND GET STARTED

1. Contact ELEC Team to be connected with a local business agent.
2. The Local 825 Business Manager pre-approves the segment, amount per job, overall limit and time period.
3. ELEC provides a notice of approval, letter of commitment and subsidy agreement.
4. You will receive a letter of commitment and sign a grant agreement.
5. Once signed and returned, weekly reports are filed and grant payments are made on a monthly basis.
