TWIC: Transportation Worker Identification Credential

The Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Administration (MTSA).

It is a common identification credential for all workers requiring unescorted access to secure areas of facilities regulated by the MTSA. This includes all Coast Guard-credentialed merchant mariners, port facility employees, longshore workers, truck drivers, and others requiring unescorted access to secure areas of maritime facilities and vessels.
