New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the nation with some of the oldest roads, bridges, tunnels, and rails around. We’re also an impatient bunch and want our infrastructure maintained without being completely closed down. This makes maintaining and repairing our roads and bridges extremely challenging.*

Thankfully, NJ’s construction industry is up to the task, working nights and in the cold and heat to keep our roads and bridges open. So this week, National Work Zone Awareness Week, let’s recognize the work that they do in often-challenging conditions and be especially courteous and safety conscious in construction zones. #OrangeForSafety

*And if we want to keep them working on our roads and bridges, let’s remember to support NJ’s Transportation Trust Fund, which goes bankrupt July 1.
